Open Window School

Kirtley-Cole Associates teamed with Open Window School to complete their recent building expansion, including the following work:

Upper School Building Expansion

Vista Academy

The existing Vista Academy building was reconfigured to enlarge restrooms, add offices, and provide additional teacher workspace.  Additionally, 4,250 SF of new space was added to the two-story building to house four classrooms and a commons area with an entry staircase.  A new kiln area was added on the exterior.

Sentinel Building

A sky bridge and two-story, 1,600 SF science wing was added to the existing upper school building to house an advanced science classroom, lab, and technology library.

Lower School Building Expansion

The lower school was expanded by approximately 560 SF by enclosing a current exterior walkway to create a hallway.

Site Improvements

Major site improvements for the project included:

• Synthetic Turf Field & Basketball Court / Detention Vault
• Nature Area / Gaga Pit
• Digging and Sensory Area
• Entry Plaza
