King County District Court Relocation to MRJC

Kirtley-Cole Associates demolished an existing sheriff’s office within King County’s 233,000 SF Maleng Regional Justice Center, then constructed a new 22,000 SF courtroom space that includes five new courtrooms as well as support areas. Crews also constructed a new 1,700 SF security kiosk building between the court area and correctional facility. All areas include high security systems and products, including ballistic resistant glazing and drywall products, electrical safety access control systems, and video surveillance. Each member of our project team, including all subcontractors, participated in extensive security measures, including background checks and fingerprinting.
