Kirtley-Cole Associates completed the new construction of an 11,975 SF fire station for the City of Kirkland. The facility features a decontamination bay, an extractor that removes contaminants from gear, sealed locker room, and airlocks to prevent engine bay fumes from entering the fire station’s work and living spaces. The station includes 3 apparatus bays, 8 sleeping rooms, support spaces, offices, and crew living spaces. Extensive sitework included the installation of a 54,392 cubic foot (406,878 gallon) detention vault.
