When Quilceda Creek Vintners decided to expand production of their world-class wines, they looked to Kirtley-Cole Associates to grow their facilities. Kirtley-Cole was chosen as the contractor to build a new 5,234 SF winery consisting of:
- Warehouse
- Production space
- Laboratory
- Office
- Tasting area
A 6-foot tall European chandelier suspends from the 24-foot high barrel vaulted ceilings in the tasting area. This challenging project was successfully completed to exacting standards as required by a meticulous Owner during the critical grape crush.
Kirtley-Cole Associates later completed a new 12,000 SF wood-framed wine processing and production facility adjacent to Quilceda Creek’s tasting room. The entire floor system of the facility is a 6” reinforced concrete slab with floor drains that allow the entire area to be cleaned and sanitized. The facility contains specialty HVAC, refrigeration, mixing valves and electrical outlets throughout, as well as a large generator to protect the wine-makers’ investment. The exterior of the facility is a high end stucco with concrete slate roof tiles.
